March Newsletter: Eclipses and New Frontiers

We’re moving into new energy and it’s not subtle. It feels like the uncomfortable march into the future. The Israel, US attack on Iran occurred just as Mars and Uranus were making a square to each other. Mars is the God of War in mythology and Uranus is unexpected, explosive and disruptive events. As I write this, it is March 3, and today at 3:33 AM PST we had the full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo—3-3 at 3:33! Angel number 333 signifies guidance, support, and encouragement from the spiritual realm, helping us to manifest our reality. It encourages us to trust our intuition, embrace creativity, and welcome growth and change in our lives. In Tantric Numerology, 3 is the Positive Mind, and we are definitely being challenged to stay positive right now. In this system of numerology a 3 out of balance can get very depressed, and it happens when you are around negativity too long—negative people, too much news, doom scrolling, low vibrational environments, or just overexposure to collective chaos. The 3 can also overdo it, because it wants to take care of everyone, and it loves “the more the merrier” vibe. So this is your reminder: guard your energy, and first and foremost take care of yourself. Your positivity isn’t just a personality trait right now—it’s spiritual discipline. (Remember from earlier newsletters that Saturn conjunct Neptune at the zero degree of Aries is the Spiritual Warrior).

The 3 month of March added to a 10 year of 2026, gives us 13/4, and 13/4 is God’s messenger of Truth. Think of the fire horse, this year's Chinese astrology symbol, carriying in the freedom and truth bearer. And boy is that happening. Disclosure feels like it’s coming fast and hard! The problem with 13/4 is that most people are not ready, and many don’t want to hear the truth. This is where we must remember the 4 (1+3=4) is the Neutral Mind. It’s heart energy. It’s the place where communication, physical health, spiritual health, and emotional health must come back into balance so we can lead from compassion.

The Virgo full moon eclipse at 12 degrees is a South Node eclipse, and it echoes themes from March 2007, that period when the U.S. recession story was beginning to unfold. I’m not saying history repeats in the same way, but the pattern is familiar: reality is changing forever, and the events coming this spring are showing us that the old world is dissolving. These next couple months may prove to be the most extreme of your life. Remember the old has to crumble before the new can be revealed. With the Sun in Pisces we are being helped to let go of the old world. Pisces is endings, escape, water, dissolution, and also institutions—it dissolves everything. Virgo is earth energy, service and purification. And sometimes Virgo purification reveals that what we thought was pure… isn’t. The purity of your religion—maybe it isn’t so pure. The purity of your body and thoughts could improve, the purity of our institutional systems— aren’t what we believed.

At the same time, Mercury Retrograde is moving through Pisces with the North Node making things feel messy, foggy, and hard to interpret. Mercury is not comfortable in Pisces. In astrological terms it is the hardest place for the messenger planet. There is no clear communication or clarity there as Pisces is flowing, dreamy, symbolic, and can be confusing. We are charting a new path, swimming in different streams and this can be tricky. The south node in Virgo want a schedule, organization, a plan, perfection and to get everything correct. This is the fall back is to the old ways of being, so people can get tricked back into the familiar, religious dogmas, old narratives and thinking we have to pick a side or claim certainty. The real invitation is to go within, become a compassionate witness and to allow the dissolution of what is being removed from our lives. As normal day-to-day cycles are disrupted, and with so much happening in the world all at once, our nervous systems are challenged. Cue up the Kundalini Yoga and Meditation! This month we are focusing on grounding, stability, the neutral mind and resetting the nervous system. It is a perfect opportunity to join Module 2 of our Thursday evening Mastery Series. (more on that below).

The positive side of this Virgo eclipse tells the truth and purifies: it’s time to shape up in some area of your life. We are all watching things in our personal lives that need to come to a close, and we’re seeing clearly how the way we handled problems before doesn’t work anymore. Where did you check out? Where did you numb? Where did you avoid? This is extreme shedding of what is not aligned. This is the DE-PROGRAMMING eclipse. The previous years have programmed us into believing lies, and the next couple months those lies will be uncovered. We still have this planetary parade happening in Aries—Saturn and Neptune together along with Ceres, Eris, and Chiron conjunct at the later degrees, skewing everything because they’re in hard angles to the eclipse and Mars. This can amplify identity crisis and self-doubt, and Eris—sister to Mars—can bring anger/revenge energy, agitation, and conflict escalation upon hearing about and trying to discern these truths.

In the weeks ahead, these planets, all lined up in Pisces and Aries will square Jupiter, which amplifies everything. Jupiter is now conjunct the God-Star Sirius, and that energy is magnifying whatever house 15 degrees of Cancer is in for you. It’s forcing us to sit in huge discomfort and asking a very real spiritual question: can you bring more spirituality to yourself so you can find comfort in an uncomfortable time? Because we are moving into more air and fire—smoke, loudness, weapons, intensity, speed. And in that kind of collective environment, the most positive part of your life will be heart based and your spiritual work. Remember Saturn Neptune conjunct at zero Aries is making real the dream. The dream must be integrity based and be in alignment with your soul in order to manifest. It will be where the love and positivity is focused, and where the energy stream is flowing. Water is the guru/teacher. Pisces water carves out the path through the Virgo earth. The universe is washing away everything not in alignment. And the moment we stop resisting that, the moment we let go and let God, is the moment we start to feel better.

We start the Mastery Series, studies in the Science of Alchemy again next week. This is the next installment of the Lightbody Mystery School. This immersive training dives deeper into Lightbody teachings and builds on the foundations from our classes and earlier trainings. Please note, there is no prior experience necessary to take the course. This series is organized into standalone modules (students may take one, two, or all three), each offering Yoga Alliance CEUs. Classes meet Thursday evenings, 6–8 PM PST, in person or online for eight consecutive weeks per module.
