If you're exploring yoga teacher training in the San Diego area, I'd like to share a little about our program and what you can expect.
The Ascension Pathway is a Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training (RYT-200) offered in Vista, California, just north of San Diego. Students may attend in person on our outdoor yoga deck or join us live online from anywhere in the world.
Our intention is to create a learning environment where students are seen, supported, and encouraged throughout the entire training. We keep our class sizes intentionally smaller because we believe meaningful learning happens through connection, practice, and personal guidance.
If you want the short version: you apply through our form at communiteayoga.com/form, I read your application personally and get back to you within three to five business days, and if it's a fit, you choose your format and you're in. The training is called the Ascension Pathway, it's a 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, it's Yoga Alliance RYT-200 approved, and we run it from our outdoor yoga deck right here in Vista, just north of San Diego, and fully online too. That's the whole thing in a nutshell. But stay with me, because there's more you'll want to know before you say yes.
How to Apply for the Ascension Pathway
The application process is simple.
Complete the application at communiteayoga.com/form and tell me a little about yourself—your yoga experience, what inspired you to explore teacher training, and what you hope to receive from the program.
I personally read every application. I enjoy learning about each student's path and what has brought them here. You'll hear back from me within three to five business days.
If you have questions before applying, you're welcome to contact me directly at info@communiteayoga.com or (760) 499-0066. I'm happy to answer your questions and help you decide whether this training is the right fit for you.
Once your application has been accepted, you'll choose whether you'd like to attend in person or live online, complete your enrollment, and reserve your place in the upcoming training.
Is This the Right Yoga Teacher Training for You?
Every student arrives for a different reason. Some have practiced yoga for years and feel ready to teach. Others want to deepen their understanding of Kundalini Yoga, meditation, breath-work, mantra, and the subtle energy system.
Some simply feel it's time to dedicate themselves to a more consistent spiritual practice.
Whether your intention is to become a certified yoga teacher or to deepen your own personal growth, you'll be welcomed into a supportive community of students who are learning together.
One of the beautiful aspects of a teacher training is that everyone grows together. You learn from the curriculum, from your own practice, and from the shared experiences within the group.
Serving San Diego County from Our Vista Yoga Deck
Our home is in Vista, California, in North San Diego County, making it convenient for students throughout San Diego, Orange County, Riverside County, and Southern California.
Classes are held on our private outdoor yoga deck, surrounded by nature. Practicing outdoors brings a different quality to the experience. Fresh air, open space, and the natural environment become part of the practice itself.
Many of our students tell us this setting becomes one of their favorite parts of the training.
If you don't live nearby, you can attend every class live online. Our online students participate in the same curriculum, the same discussions, and the same community while completing all requirements for certification.
A Yoga Alliance Approved RYT-200 Program
The Ascension Pathway is a Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200, allowing you to teach wherever that credential is recognized.
For many students, certification opens the door to teaching in yoga studios, wellness centers, retreat settings, private practice, or community programs.
For others, the certification is simply one part of a much larger experience.
Teacher training offers the opportunity to establish a daily practice, develop confidence in leading others, strengthen your understanding of yoga philosophy, and experience the personal transformation that comes from consistent study and practice.
Our goal is to help you become a knowledgeable, authentic teacher who teaches from experience rather than memorization.
What You'll Study
The Ascension Pathway combines the traditional foundations required for Yoga Alliance certification with many of the subjects that have shaped my own teaching over the past three decades.
The curriculum includes:
Kundalini Yoga kriyas published and unpublished
Meditation and pranayama
Mantra and mudra
Yogic philosophy and ethics
Functional anatomy taught by a RN and First Responder
Teaching methodology
Class sequencing
Practicum teaching
Sound healing
Subtle energy anatomy
Chakras, nadis, and the auric field
Astrology and Tantric Numerology
Lightbody and Ascension teachings
Throughout the training you'll develop your own practice while gaining the knowledge and experience to confidently share these teachings with others.
Whether you eventually teach one class a week or simply apply these practices in your everyday life, the program is designed to support your continued growth.
In Person or Fully Online
You choose how you join. In person on the Vista deck, in a small group, with the gong and the open air. Or fully online and live, from wherever you are. Both paths lead to the same certification, and the same transformation.
What It Costs and What's Included
There are a few ways in, depending on whether you join us in person or online, and whether you pay in full or spread it over a payment plan. You'll see the current investment options laid out plainly on the application page, along with what each one includes, so it's never a mystery. Here is the link https://www.communiteayoga.com/theascensionpathway
Here is everything that comes with it: all eight training weekends plus the practicum weekend, every mid-month online session, all your sound healing sessions, your course manual, practicum supervision, your graduation ceremony, and full guidance for registering with Yoga Alliance afterward. And if a payment plan makes this more possible for you, that door is open. You're not just buying a certificate. You're being initiated into a lineage, and held the whole way through.
One thing we want you to know up front, because surprises around money never feel good: registering with Yoga Alliance itself, after you graduate, has its own one-time fee paid directly to them. That's a separate thing from your training here, and we guide you through all of it.
The Refund Policy, Because You Deserve to Know Before You Commit
If life shifts on you, there's a clear and fair refund policy, laid out in full on the application page. The earlier you need to step back, the more comes back to you. And if a medical emergency or something serious happens, reach out to me directly, and we will always do our best to work with you like human beings.
